Screening process
Applicants will be judged and scored based on their quiz results, personal statement, background information, and the quality of their essay response. Recommendations on Facebook will also be assessed based on their quantity and quality, and may play a role in advancing applicants.
After all applications have been received by the February 1, 2013 competition deadline, the top 10 (20 in the case of MSQF & MSGF programs) applicants per program will be selected and notified of their standing in the competition.
The top five applicants will then be determined and will participate in a Skype interview with Fordham GBA program directors to determine the top two applicants for each program.
The top two applicants will be notified of their standing on February 27, 2013. The winner (8) from each of the eight programs will be invited to attend the prize ceremony.
The prize ceremony will take place at Fordham University in New York City on April 18, 2013. Applicants from the United States will have accommodation and flight to and from the ceremony provided. International applicants will be invited to attend the prize ceremony via Skype.
*Please note that to be able to participate in the competition and win the scholarship, applicants must also apply to Fordham GBA and their desired MS program before the university and program deadlines. Check the Fordham GBA website for detailed information.
Dates to remember
February 1 Competition deadline - all competition components must be completed and submitted
February 1 University deadline - all necessary university and program documents must be sent to Fordham GBA
February 14 Top 10 applicants per program selected and notified of their standing
February 25 - March 15 Top 5 candidates from each program selected and interviewed by Fordham GBA program directors
March 15 Top 2 applicants from each program selected and notified.
The winner from each program will be invited to the prize ceremony in New York City
April 18 Prize ceremony with the (8) winners from each of the programs
